Mount Olive Studio didn’t happen overnight, we came to it slow and steady and with more questions than answers. Ariel came from a background with photography and graphic design. Scott over many years learned photography, videography, audio engineering, and visual storytelling. After facing many difficulties, we decided that between the two of us and with God as our mentor we could confidently answer a feeling within us; to make things with intention and to tell stories worth remembering.
We wanted to make sure we did it in a way that honored God. We wanted our work, our decisions, and whatever success came from it to ultimately point back to Him.
And so piece by piece Mount Olive Studio was born.
The Mount of Olives draws us to Gethsemane- the very place where our Savior began to fulfill the will of the Father- the great atoning sacrifice that gives hope, peace, comfort, healing, joy, and light in our most darkest times of our lives (even on our better days too!). He is the One who experienced it all to better understand how He could succor us.
So Mount Olive Studio is more than a name to us. It’s a reminder.
A reminder of our foundation is. A reminder of the kind of people we want to become. A reminder to create with purpose, to work with integrity, to think virtuously and to give God the glory for whatever we’re able to build.
And perhaps most importantly, it’s a reminder that beautiful things can come from seasons of uncertainty, sacrifice, and growth.
That’s the kind of business we want to build—and the kind of people we want to be while building it.
In our decision to be different from the world around us, we may have a different approach to our work than most. But we know that with Him - we will be delivered. We hope that we can be a source of help for you in your business journey.
